
Marla Pennell
Au.D., CCC-A
Dr. Pennell, Au.D., CCC-A is the owner and director of Hill Country Audiology. She opened the office in 2007 after seeing a need for quality audiologic services in the area. Dr. Pennell is driven by her passion for serving others, which is seen in her nearly 30 years of clinical experience performing diagnostic services and working with veterans, schools and retirement facilities.
She received a Doctorate in Audiology from the University of Florida, a Master’s in Audiology from the University of Texas, and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Baylor University. Dr. Pennell is licensed with the state of Texas in Audiology and holds a certificate of clinical competence in Audiology from the American Speech and Hearing Association. She is a member of the American Academy of Audiology and the Texas Academy of Audiology.
Dr. Pennell resides in Georgetown and in her free time she enjoys practicing yoga, hiking and spending time with her husband and their three children and five dogs.

Jessica Tumolillo
Au.D., CCC-A
Dr. Jess Tumolillo is a licensed audiologist who joined Hill Country Audiology in 2021. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in communicative disorders at the University of Rhode Island, graduating magna cum laude. Dr. Tumolillo then went on to receive her Doctor of Audiology from the University of Connecticut.
She previously served at practices in Savannah, Georgia, Dothan, Alabama and Harker Heights, Texas. Dr. Tumolillo specializes in diagnosing hearing loss and balance disorders. She maintains a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) and is a member of the American Academy of Audiology, the Texas Academy of Audiology and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She enjoys changing lives through devoting herself to actively pursuing improvements made with hearing health care treatment options. Though technology is vital in the treatment of hearing loss, Dr. Tumolillo believes that the formula for success involves technology coupled with patient care, education and aural rehabilitation.
Dr. Tumolillo is happily married to her husband Brian, who is a Black Hawk helicopter pilot at Fort Hood, Texas. Outside of the office, she enjoys crafting and spending time with her two dogs, Callie and Max.

Leslie Rankin
Patient Care Coordinator
Leslie Rankin joined Hill Country Audiology in June 2013 as our patient care coordinator. She has extensive experience in customer service and administrative work. Leslie holds certificates for both hearing and vision screenings and is currently in training to become an audiology assistant . She lives in Georgetown and loves the community. Leslie spends her free time with family.
